One hurt in Ravalli Co. ATV crash


A man was air lifted to a Missoula hospital after the ATV he was driving flipped over on Saturday afternoon.

Ravalli County Sheriff Chris Hoffman says the incident was called into 911 at about 2:30, adding that the man was riding up the hill near the Skalkaho Pass Road in an area known as the Sledding Hill when the crash happened.

He tells us one of the wheels fell through a snow drift and flipped the ATV, throwing the man to the ground. The Montana Highway Patrol, search and rescue members and Quick Response Units all responded to the scene.

The man was air lifted to a Missoula hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Members of Ravalli County Search and Rescue along with the Montana Highway Patrol headed out Saturday afternoon to search for a man that was involved in an ATV crash.

We spoke with Ravalli County Sheriff Chris Hoffman who told us that one man was injured, but they were not sure of the severity of his injuries.

The crash was called into 911 at about 2:30 Saturday afternoon and Hoffman says the incident happened near the Skalkaho Highway at mile marker 14, in an area known as the Sledding Hill.

He added they believe there are other people with the victim.
